Student Lounge

In 2016, the Safe Zone Resource Center opened the Safe Zone Student Lounge. Located directly next door to the Safe Zone Resource Center, the Lounge is a place for members of the campus community to gather, study and relax.

The Safe Zone Lounge also hosts some of Safe Zone’s programming, such as our weekly support group Rainbow Connection, our gender discussion group Cinnamon Rolls, Not Gender Roles, and other community-building and advocacy events.

The following is added history that was not listed on the Safe Zone website. It connects the story of LGBTQ+ people at UA to the present.
